The presiding deity of this temple is Durga. Kariyam Devi Temple is one of the famous
and very old Durga Temple in Trivandrum District. The deity is highly powerful and
thousands of devotees have been benefited by devi`s blessings. Kariyam Devi is believed
to be “Sarvabeeshtapradhayini” (one who grants all wishes) and numerous devotees
have stories legion to tell of her supreme benevolence.
The sub deities of this temple are Ganesha and Nagaraja. Both the sub dieties are
installed inside the temple
Meenabharani Festival : The meenbharanai mahotsavam is the annual 7 day festival
celebrated in every year. The festival has been celebrated with severel special
poojas, rituals, Annadanam, cultural programs etc.
Prathista Day : Annual Prathihta day is celebrated on every uthram day of malayalam
month Medam. The prathishta day ais celebrated with Laksharchana, Kalabhabhsishekam,
pushpabhishekam, annadanam etc.
Navarathri Festival : Navarathri Festival is being celebrated 9 days with wide variety
of special poojas. Geetha Njayayajam is being organised on these days.
Bhagavada Spathaham : Temple organises Bhagavada Spathham on every year.
