Temple is located in Pooppathy near Mala in Thrissur District. The diety was originaly
worshipped by Kodungallure Thampurans during a war time. After the war Bhagavathy
was not willing to go back to Kodungallur as per astrological findings.This is the
only temple in kerala where some type of pujas are done by different castes viz
Namboodiris,Nairs, Pulayas and Parayas. It is believed that the diety is very powerful.
