As per hindu mythology Sun is worshipped as god. Here in kerala, you can see very
few temples for Adithya. Adityapuram Surya Temple is the only temple recorded in
Kerala dedicated to Aditya. Idol is installed facing west and regular abhishekam
is done by oil and water.
The first and last Sundays of the Vrischikam (October- November) and Medam (May-June)
are considered auspicious and special ceremonies and rituals performed
